It’s our last full day here in WA and luckily the 39′C heat that was forecasted has not happened, instead it’s around 30 wich is a lot nicer. Yesterday Bec and I went out to Rottnest Island which was really nice, it’s an island about 30 min from freemantle via ferry and you can’t bring a car so you hire a bike and cruisa around to all the nice beaches. Unfortunately yesterday was the only day without sun for the whole time we’ve been here so it wasn’t as good as we had hoped and I couldn’t get any nice photos snorkelling around the reeves as it’s too dark when it’s cloudy, but I saw some nice fish and we had a great day anyway, and last night I also got my first proper kite surf in after a week of crappy wind. Today the girls are away on a little trip and I’m just relaxing at home, nursing a sore neck and waiting for the wind to pick up so I can get out with my kite again for a last time before we head back to Melbourne tomorrow afternoon.

In a few hours we’ll be sitting squashed in to a plane heading west and 4-5h later we will be arriving at Perth. We’re off on a weeks holiday to relax and have fun and visit our friend Phil (Phillippa) who lives in Rockingham south of Perth. It will be great to get away and hopefully there will be some good wind so I don’t drag my kiteboard with me in vain…

Well today we made an attempt to get in to the Christmas spirit by buying a little Christmas tree. It looks quite cute but I still can’t see it as Christmas when it’s at least 25′C and I walk around in shorts and thongs. Nothing bad about nice weather but it doesn’t match with my version of Christmas. I’ve started and unfortunately stopped playing beach volley the last few weeks after another dislocated shoulder on Thursday but a few hours at the Alfred Hospital and some funny drugs later it’s back in place again and I’m waiting for a time to see a specialist to discuss a possible operation to fix it once and for all…

I’ve just installed the new version of wordpress and everything seems fine except the fact that my photo album doesn’t work any more. I don’t think it’s a major problem but I’m not sure what little thing I have to change to get it going again…

Otherwise everything is fine, it’s getting pretty hot here with quite a few days over 30′C already, but I guess everyone back home in Sweden would love to have sun and 30′C so maybe I shouldn’t complain too much

I kite-board as much as I can, and try to get down the coast a couple of times a month to surf and every Thursday night I meet up with a group of people and have a hit of beachvolley as a bit of fun (bec’s coming down on Thursday as well to have a go) well now I’m gonna see what I can make for dinner and then maybe we’ll have a Swedish DVD night as a package from my parents with a bunch of DVD’s just arrived. (I have to get Bec’s Swedish up to scratch somehow

Well it’s all back to normal again after two great weeks in Sweden. It’s definitely heading towards summer though with over 30′C on Sunday so the fan made it’s entry in the bedroom as it didn’t drop below 25′C all night. I’ve had a few good kite-surfs lately and can’t wait for the sea-breezes that produce good winds most afternoons during summer

On a different note I think I have to spend a little time updating wordpress (the program I use to update this page) as a lot of Spam has made it’s way on to this page lately, I hate bloody spammers!!!

I just got to my sisters apartment after spending 2h at the “relax room” at her gym with a few friends, having a few beers and enjoying the spa and sauna. We’ve got a few hours here before we head of to tranquilo for dinner and drinks with around 20 of my old friends. I really look forward to seeing everyone again and having a good time in my old home town…

It’s almost time to head off to the other side of the world again, back to all my family and friends back in Sweden for a 2 week holiday. It feels a bit unreal that I’m actually going home after being in Australia for almost 2 full years… I don’t think I’ve actually realized that I’m going yet it will probably don’t hit me until I’m on the plane but it will be so great to finally see everyone again even if I wish it would be for longer. I’m not sure how I will react, I think I’ve sort of blocked it out and just lived my life here, not intentionally though, and I’ve tried to keep in touch with people back home, but it’s hard with the time difference and some people are better at replying to text messages and emails than others… I hope it will be just lots of fun back home and that I won’t miss everyone too much when I’m back here in Australia in a couple of weeks.

I’ve joined the online community “facebook” It seems like a great way to keep in touch with all my friends on other parts of the globe which I’m not always so good at… I’ve already got in touch with more people from home in a week than I’ve been in touch with for the last couple of years but I’ll have to see how long it will last. So far it seems like a good thing though so try it out and see what you think!

Well life is rolling along here in a fairly wet and chilly Melbourne at the moment. Bec and I have lasted past our one year anniversary and went for a luxury weekend at a spa/wineyard with a nice massage and spa package plus a 3 course dinner. I also went for a fairly cold surf with matt at 13th beach on Saturday but it was great to get in the water and maybe have a last surf with matt before he moves up to Brisbane and his girlfriend in a few weeks.
