Yesterday (Tuesday) was a public holiday due to the massive event of a horse race, it’s a long long tratition here in Melbourne… I wasn’t very interested so instead I went out kite boarding again, this time to St Kilda. It was the windiest day I’ve been out in which was good, the second time I went out after a little break on the beach I managed to stay up wind very well (didn’t drift down the beach to far) and could pretty much go 100m out, stop, and 100m back to the beach with out falling (maybe once or so) It was easier as the wind was strong enough for my slightly smaller kite and I didn’t have to swing it around but could instead just hold it in one place and focus on riding and enjoying

After having to upgrade the photo album it’s now up and running again, I’ve also added some new photos including some of the photos taken by our photografer during our wedding so have a look and let me know what you think.

Today I did my first kiteboarding session on my own, I’ve had two lessons this last week which proved to be enough to get me up and riding. Obviously I’m not a pro yet but I get up pretty easily and have started to learn how to turn and keep control of my kite (most of the time at least), it’s great to finally have something to do on my spare time again as surfing has been ruled out by myself for a while until my shoulder feels better (and it’s also a bit further to travel to find waves than wind)

I’ve got all the stuff I need for the moment even if I’m thinking of buying a bigger kite to be able to get out on less windy days.
