Another Wedding
Friday 22nd September @ 22:48 under category: News

Tomorrow Bec and I are heading off to Horsham, about an 4h drive from Melbourne to attend Bec’s cousin Ben and his fiancee Jacinda’s wedding. It’ll be fun to catch up with all of Bec’s cousins again even though it’ll be a lo of driving this weekend. I’ve invested in a new suit and shirt for the occasion (the only one I had before was a $15 one from the Op-Shop) so I’ll be looking very flash. I’ll try and get some photos up sometime next week (I know I’ve been pretty lazy with the photo’s lately) C ya.

Back in the water
Monday 18th September @ 20:21 under category: News

On Sunday I went down the coast with Bec, Matt and Matt. Bec and I stayed down in Geelong Saturday night after Jude’s going away party and on Sunday we headed down the coast. It was a pretty nice day when we headed off, Bec and I pulled in at Torquay to get a disposable underwater camera but soon caught up with the others as Matt got pulled over by the cops for speeding. I could hardly wait to get in the water even if I only went swimming with my fins just to not stuff up my shoulder again. The swell was pupming although it was a little bit lumpy in the cross shore winds but there where some solid 6ft sets. We stayed out until we where almost blue in the cold water and I finished off the whole camera. Unfortunately most of the photos turned out a little bit blury as the sun had dissapeared, but it was so great to be back in the water again. We had qiuck lunch in Lorne and on the way home both Bec and I where so tired that we had to pull over and have a little powernap in the car before we could continue home.

I’ve got my visa
Saturday 16th September @ 18:10 under category: News

After spending lots of time filling in forms, sending them to immigration, getting mote forms, filling them in sending them to immigration etc. etc. Yesterday I finally got a letter in the mail stating that my 2 year temporary visa has been approved. This means that I can work and travel as much as I want which is great, It also feels good to know that I don’t have to worry about this any more for a while, basically in two years I only have to prove that I’m still married and living together with Bec and I’ll get my permanent visa. well now I’m going out to enjoy a very nice spring day here in Melbourne, tonight Bec and I are going down to Geelong to a going away party for one of our friends who are going to France to do her Masters in whinemaking, and tomorrow we are continuing down to Torquay for a nice relaxing day and hopefully some surf (I’ll just go swimming to save my shoulder a bit longer)

New stuff
Sunday 10th September @ 22:02 under category: News

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything… I’m about to change position at work by going from the installation part to service and technical maintenance. This means that I’ll soon have to start doing after hour calls to fix lifts that breaks down which isn’t that great but on the other hand I’ll make a bit more money, learn new things and I get a free car and Mobile phone… I’ve also finally bought a winter jacket after surviving the cold and wet (not so much this year) winters without one, and of course two weeks after I bought my jacket I won another one in a competition at the local surf store so now I’ve got two :-) I’ve also bought a little (2m) training kite to practise with before I start up kiteboarding in about a month or so when the nice summer winds start, I’ve been out a couple of times with it and it’s good fun and I’m starting to get a hang of turning it pretty well so I’m looking forward to getting my proper board and kite and get out there.
