Cruising along as usual, nothing really exciting going on, but soon I might get my 3:rd job. Life’s not extremely exciting at the moment, some of you might think that since I’m in Australia on the other side of the world, exciting things must happen all the time, but unfortunately, no. I’m into a normal life here with work, dinner making, bills, washing, tv and everything else. Still haven’t got to many of my own friends but I enjoy both my jobs, especially the surfinstructor one, and meeting a lot of people. Today Graham (the owner of the surf school) asked me about my web-design skills, as I wrote something about it on my resume and it seems like he’s willing to pay me a bit to fix up their webpage. Tomorrow I’m also off to a restaurant where one of Meg’s (my housemate) friends work and they need some new staff to help out at functions and stuff so there might be a day now and then in it, we’ll see. Bec just finished her exams and now has about 4 months off from uni, pretty good. She’s got a new job doing camps with disabled kids, so she’ll probably do 4-5 week-long camps over summer, and work as a waiter at the restaurant the rest of the time. This Saturday I’ll go to the Duncard Races, my first experience of Aussie Horse Racing. Apparently you dress up a bit, go there with an eskie (cool bag) full of beer, wine n things, get drunk, meet a lot of people and maybe see a horse sometime during the day. I’ll tell you more about it later.
