Went and saw DodgeBall last night. One of the funniest/most stupid films I’ve seen in a long time. If u like Zoolander and have the same stupid humour that I do you will love DodgeBall. The movie revolves around the fight between two gym-owners and end up including old “nazi-american” instruction films, girl scouts on steriods, a wrench throwing coach, s-m team outfits and much more. I haven’t laughed that much in a movie theatre for a very very long time, but I think you have to be in a pretty stupid mode to enjoy it. My job hunt goes on and today I got my first job, it’s only for one night at the golf-club restaurant, helping out at a funktion but it’s a start, most of the shops will hire staff over summer but it might be a month or so so I’ll keep looking. I bought a new wetsuit yesterday, a bit more expensive than I had planned but it’s Quiksilvers top model and I got it for almost half price since it was last years version. The difference from what I’ve been using so far is huge, instead of freezing and hardly being able to use my hands after being in the water for 1 1/2h before I was in for 2 1/2h and was just fine when I came up. I went surfing with Bec today and she’s getting better and better, so after summer she will probably be able to surf propertly if she keeps going like this.

Starting to settle in here “Down Under” but it’s pretty cold and rainy. I’m settling in to life here in Jan Juc - Aus. Most of the practical things are organised, I’ve got my name on the lease, me and Bec have started a joint bank-account and today we went to Melbourne and the Immagration office and got my working permit and tax file nr so now I can start looking for work. We went surfing yesterday and it was VERY!! COLD!!! absolutely under 10′C I’ve borrowed a wet-suit from Matt and was wearing that with my own on top, but both of them are short-sleave so my arms where a bit freezing (they actually came out blue after 30min in the water). The worst thing though were my feet, after a little while i couldn’t really feel them so I have to get a pair of booties if I’m going surfing the next month or so.

I’m back in Aussie land, and starting to get rid of the jet-lag. Really amazing to see Bec again and I survived the trip without to much discomfort. I’m back in Jan Juc - Australia. After a Really fun 24h flight I have discovered that german speaking people have somehow manageged to stay in the 80’s fashionwise. I was travelling with Austrian airlines and the flight attendants where wearing white shirts with small red dots and tight black stonewashed jeans.

The first two days here has been alright but today is the first day that I’m more or less on schedule with the australian time, and I had forgoteen about how cold it was in the house we live in here. No insulation and 3-4′ outside during the night makes u want to stay in bed even more than usual in the morning. O well soon it’ll be summer and hot and we are looking for another house to move in to since this is a bit small and Meg, our house-mate, isn’t really interrested in living with just the two of us, so we’re going to try and find one more person as well.
